Finishing a School Project on a Tight Back-to-School Schedule
DRL Coatings completed drywall finishing and painting work for Duncan Public Schools in Duncan, Oklahoma. The scope included approximately 13,000 SF of new gypsum board walls, 4,000 SF of brick walls, and the painting of hollow metal doors and frames using PPG coatings.

THE CHALLENGE
Back-to-School Deadline
The primary challenge was completing the project within a tight schedule driven by students returning to school.
The work had to move efficiently across the drywall finishing and painting phases while maintaining quality, production efficiency, and safe working conditions.
OUR SOLUTION
Coordinated Trade Execution
DRL Coatings utilized a specialized crew with adequate manpower to maintain the production pace required by the accelerated schedule.
Strong coordination between the tape and bed and painting trades allowed each phase to progress efficiently and helped ensure the full scope was completed without impacting the required delivery schedule.
THE RESULT
The project was completed and delivered on schedule with zero safety incidents. Despite the accelerated timeline, the client had no concerns regarding the schedule, and additional Change Order work was successfully completed without affecting the original completion date.
