PROJECT OVERVIEW
A Full Interior Painting Scope Delivered Ahead of the School-Year Deadline
DRL Coatings completed the interior painting and high-performance coating scope for the Middle School Band & Cafeteria Expansion at Tahlequah Public Schools.
The project included approximately 9,250 SF of gypsum walls, 10,600 SF of acoustic ceiling grid, 8,500 SF of CMU walls, and coatings for approximately 80 hollow metal doors and 70 hollow metal frames.
The work utilized multiple Sherwin-Williams coating systems, including ProMar 200 Eggshell, Pro Industrial Pre-Catalyzed Waterbased Epoxy, and Pro Industrial Waterbased Alkyd Urethane, all within a demanding one-month construction schedule.

THE CHALLENGE
School-Year Deadline
The primary challenge was completing the entire painting scope within a demanding one-month schedule and having the facility ready before the beginning of the school year.
The accelerated timeline also required DRL Coatings to work around and coordinate with multiple active trades while maintaining consistent production and quality finishes throughout the project.
OUR SOLUTION
Continuous, Coordinated Production
DRL Coatings mobilized a dedicated 4-painter crew and maintained continuous production throughout the project.
Close coordination with the general contractor and other trades allowed the crew to maximize efficiency, maintain quality control, and keep each phase of the painting scope moving ahead of the required schedule.
THE RESULT
DRL Coatings successfully completed the entire painting scope approximately one week before the start of school, meeting the project requirements while delivering consistent, quality finishes throughout the expanded facility.
